Drs. Batra & Laden share a passion for education, both advancing their own skills and teaching other dentists and surgeons to improve the future of dentistry. Their expertise in dentistry allows them to offer patients a compassionate approach with superior clinical results.
Avinav Batra, DMD
Avinav Batra, DMD is a board certified general dentist and the co-founder of the Laden & Batra Dentistry at their new location! Dr. Batra is passionate about understanding his patients’ needs and desires to provide excellent care on all levels.
He is highly trained in the area of dental implants, implant supported teeth and sedation dentistry. In fact, he travels to Mexico a few times every year to teach dental implants to fellow dentists from all over North America.
Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, Dr. Batra always wanted to be in a patient-focused environment, and fell in love with dentistry. He moved to the US to keep improving his dental skills learnt in India and attended Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA, graduating summa cum laude.
He spends a significant amount of time learning about new technology and procedures that are changing the face of dentistry. His goal is to mesh modern technology with the classic service that the practice is known for.
Outside of work, he likes to spend time with his wife, Alexis, and their son. He also partakes in occasional golf, pickleball and calisthenics workouts.
Nancy Laden, DMD
Nancy Laden, DMD has been practicing dentistry in Franklin for 20 years when she succeeded her predecessor Dr. Mont Smith. In 2020, Dr. Batra joined her and together, they moved the office to its current location at 329 South Royal Oaks Blvd.
Dr. Laden received her Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and her DMD from the University of Kentucky. She later completed a General Practice Residency, also at the University of Kentucky .
Through the years, Dr. Laden has volunteered for a variety of nonprofit institutions. With a passion for working with underserved populations, she has been a leader in the Diocese of Nashville’s Haiti mission, traveling to the island many times to treat people with little access to dental care. She has also been an active supporter of the Interfaith Dental Clinic, which provides treatment to lower income families in the Nashville area.
Dr. Laden lives in Nashville, where she and her husband, Brian, have raised their 3 sons.

I chose to become a dental hygienist because I’m passionate about helping people improve their oral health and educating them on how to maintain it. Making a positive impact on someone’s smile is what motivates me every day!

My kids and my husband are my motivation! I’m a proud mama and you can find me in the rink, on the court or on sidelines cheering on my kids! I have a big personality and I’m passionate about what I do! While serving in the dental community for over 25 years I take great pride in being the best clinician I can, but also treating my patients like family. I am on the hygiene team!

I’m originally from East TN and wanted to become a hygienist because I enjoy helping others. I have also enjoyed all the friendships I have already formed with so many patients. Outside of the office, I love travelling, playing pickleball and spending time at the lake.

Hi, I’m Kelsie! Outside of work, I love traveling and have visited 20+ countries. I’m happiest outdoors snowboarding, camping, or hiking with my dog. Most of all, I cherish time with my son, whether we’re at the park, playing, or going on little adventures together.

Outside of work, I love traveling the world with my husband and our two dogs, Tucker and Koda. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and snowboarding, as well as challenging myself in the gym through powerlifting.

I’m from Chapel Hill, TN. I’ve been in dentistry for nearly 10 years. As a dental hygienist, I love building relationships with my patients and making a positive impact on their lives. Outside of the office you’ll find me hanging out with my 3 dogs, thrifting, and doing anything outdoors! Â

I was raised in Spring Hill, TN. I have worked in oral surgery and in general dentistry. I enjoy dentistry and getting to know my patients. I like to workout and walk my dog Luna in my free time.

I am on the dental assistant team and am currently pursuing my passion for dental hygiene. When I am not busy with teeth, I enjoy spending time with my crazy husky. Excited to continue making brighter and healthier smiles!

I am a Texan native and have worked in the dental field since 1998. Outside of office I enjoy spending time with my family, SEC football, live music, and gardening! I am on the admin team!
